Fancy Filofax Papers

A note: All the highlighted words in my blog are clickable links.

It seems we are always looking for some nicer, prettier, cheaper or just different papers to go into our Filofax.  I tend to look at ready made journals and see if I can pull them apart to make them fit into my own Filofax.  I've tried the spiral bound ones and if you slice off the hole side and re punch new holes, they don't look so bad, but if you have to add the new holes  on top of the holes that are already there...well the results are not so good.
Yesterday, while out shopping in John Lewis, I came across these two beautiful Journals by Jill Bliss.
The paper is a lovely quality and is really beautiful, but this is the one I want to show you first.
So there's about 105 pages (210 sides) and at £7.50, I thought it was good value.  Time to take it apart.  Every 8 pages I found the cotton binding, I just snipped at this and pulled the sheets out.
Then I sliced the pages down the middle with a paper cutter and punched the holes in.
Then I popped them into my A5 Filofax.

Grid
 Plain
 Dots
 Lined
I've even found this paper can be turned upside down so four designs now becomes eight.
This design is called Succulents eco-journal and is printed on re-cycled paper.

I haven't had a chance to do the Typewriter Journal yet, but it too has lovely sheets in it.....more on that one next time.

  7. This is such a good idea! I often print off a design on paper then photocopy it lighter so that the design is just in the background and cut them to size for my personal amalfi. I want to find this paper! going to check out her website

  8. Hi Gail, I hope you don't mind, but I totally Filo-lifted (shop-lifted) this idea for my A5 Holborn that is soon to arrive. It was a great idea and I simply must make one myself. The papers are beautiful and I found them on amazon, I was so excited when I did. Here's the link in case you want to see it. http://filofreak.blogspot.com/2012/08/filofax-mix-up-with-my-a5-holborn.html

  10. This is amazing! Funnily enough I was just looking at those notebooks in John Lewis a couple of days ago. I have so many empty notebooks at home that I thought would become redundant if I invested in a filofax. SO excited you've shown me a way to combine the two!
