Spiritual Malden Filofax

Warning! Picture Heavy Post!

A note: All the highlighted words in my blog are clickable links.

I've decided to use my A5 Purple Malden as my Spiritual Filofax.  Purple is a spiritual colour so it's very fitting.  I started developing my spiritual abilities about 12 years ago, but stopped a few years later when I returned to College to study various topics....Indian Head Massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Swedish Body Massage, Counselling then Teaching!  A few months ago, I thought the time was right to "open" back up again.
So the inside cover....lots going on!  On the left..... a couple of Quotes I like, these go in the pockets, I just pulled them out to show you what they are.  Then the little circles are magnetic page markers and next to them is my favourite poem... "Footprints In The Sand."  On the right are some notes and more page markers I made.

I use  the Credit Card Pockets to hold some more quotes I have, the clear flyleaf holds a protection prayer I sometimes use and some sticky notes.

A folder so I can add bits, this one holds some info on Chakras and some prayer cards I got free, from Durham Cathedral, which is near where I live.

A month on 2 page view diary I printed from Philofaxy. (Thanks everyone from Philofaxy, for all the work you put into the free printables for us).

Then my divider topics....I made these myself, I found some nice pics from the Internet, added the words, printed and laminated then cut holes.  Wish I had made the pics a little bigger now, or kept the borders on so you couldn't see through the plastic....oh well!

Spirit Communication

Questions

Meditations

I write down what my meditations are about because I forgot most of them, sometimes I will draw a pic, but I am a dreadful artist so it doesn't happen often. lol

Notes...
This one has my favourite spiritual quote: We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, but spiritual beings having a human experience.

Readings...
These are notes on the readings I have had done by other Mediums.
Spiritual Experiences...
I've had quite a few over the last few years....one of them for example, an elderly family friend was in hospital, she loved hearing about my "spiritual side" and was a believer herself.  One night I dreamt she had passed away, she came to me and said, "Just letting you know I'm going now Gail, goodbye!"  Nothing profound, just a simple message.  As soon as I woke, I jumped out of bed and phoned the hospital to see how she was doing, they told me she had passed away the evening before!!!

Death & Dying...
Okay you might think I am very morbid, but this subject fascinates me!  I even enrolled on an Open University Course but had to drop out at the last minute, but I am hoping to do it again next year.

Angels...
I love Angels, the amount of Angel cards and books I own is unreal. lol

Near Death & Out Of Body Experiences

Healing...
I am a Reiki Master but haven't practised in a while, I am qualified to give actual Reiki attunements too.  Reiki is a healing energy, you can find out more Here.
Chakras
Prayers

This page was taken from an Organiser I got in 1996, I used it briefly in 2001 for my Spiritual stuff. A few weeks ago, I gave it to my son, (we blogged about it here.). I use Protection Prayers before meditations or any spiritual communication.

The Second part of my Spiritual Filofax is dedicated to a book I am working through called The Magic by Rhonda Byrne.  It's about manifesting things into your life and I am happy to tell you, it does actually work!  I wanted a A5 Ochre Malden and by thinking I already had it, I actually got one.....I blogged about it here.

Finally, My Psycards.  I love these cards, they are so easy to use, I had a professional reading done with them 18 months ago and they were spot on.  I since brought some of my own and I love them.  The holder is a cheap 99p clear pencil case from Staples, I punched holes in it, it fits in the Filofax lovely and can hold the cards and the book together.

Side view...tab heaven! lol

My A5 Spiritual Malden Filofax with matching purple Filofax pen.

So that's my Spiritual Filofax. I know some of you will think working with Spirit is wrong or you might not even believe in life after death, but for me, it's my way of thinking and has helped me through the death of loved ones.  Now I can combine it with my Filofax is just an added bonus.

Personal... Day to 2 Pages Diary

A note: All the highlighted words in my blog are clickable links.

To go with my new Cuban Personal Zip Filofax, I ordered a set of inserts and some Diaries.  I got: a Complimentary Pack, 2013 Month on 2 pages Diary, Jan - Dec Index Dividers and what should of been a 2 Days to a Page Diary.

But a One Day on Two Pages Diary was sent instead.

At £20.50 it doesn't come cheap, no wonder I nearly passed out when I read the receipt. lol  But you do get a lot for your money.  Just look at how thick this Diary is, just over 3cm!

I think even the 30mm rings of the Cuban zip is going to struggle with that little lot. lol

It looks a lovely set up, but I don't think my life would be busy enough to ever fill it.  I noticed it's not on Filofax UK, so I thought I would share it with you all in case you fancied buying one yourself.

The Ref No. is 6841713.  I don't want to open it  (well I do really but can't), I am hoping it can be returned for the one I actually ordered..... 2 Days per Page Diary (and a refund. lol)

Cuban Personal Zip

A few days ago I was listening to Ray Blake's Pod cast, It is really interesting, I suggest you check it out.  Ray talks about the Personal Cuban Zip Filofax, but what caught my attention was the 30mm rings.....that's right 30mm in a Personal size Filofax and better still, the Filofax Shop at Neal Street in London, had it on sale.  Again I got the Wanties!  I already have a Saddle Brown A5 Cuban so opted for Chilli.

Isn't it just beautiful!  On the front is the Filofax logo, under which is a full pocket with a magnetic closure.

On the inside behind the credit card holders, is another full length pocket,

Next to that is a full length zipped pocket.

Unfortunatly this Filofax does not lie flat and I think it may take some training to get it anywhere near flat.

The inside back cover has a flap to slide in loose notes or a notebook maybe....but just look at those awesome 30mm rings.

There's also two pen loops so room enough to put pens but more could be added as this Filofax zips up so you won't lose anything.  I'm looking forward to using this, but can't get started on it yet as the wrong Diary was sent.....but as you can see from those rings, it could easily take a page to a day Diary.

A5 Malden Filofax

Do You Believe In Magic.....

A note: All the highlighted words in my blog are clickable links.

My Maldens...... I'd been after the A5 Ochre Malden for months, but couldn't justify needing another A5 Filofax, especially one that was over £100.  I kept putting it off, then I thought, I am not going to be happy till I get one, but first I wanted to see one before buying it.  Well that was easier said than done, no shops had any..... plenty online but no "real life" ones.

At the time I was reading a book called The Magic by Rhonda Byrne, it's about manifesting things into your life, so I thought okay, I'll manifest the Malden so I can see what it looks like.  This was on the Saturday evening and on the following Monday morning, I woke with this overwelming feeling I was going to have my A5 Malden that day, I was even excited as if I knew I already had it.  Hubby and I set off to a huge shopping centre some 25 miles away. On the way there I remembered, The Pen Shop is only another 5 miles further, so thought I would give them a ring from my Iphone, (to see if they had any) but I accidently pressed the number and called their headquarters instead.  They said they had one in stock and I could collect it personally if I lived nearby, I asked where they were based and I got the shock of my life.....we were actually driving right past that spot as we spoke!  Hubby had to do a quick u-turn but less than 10 minutes later I had my A5 Malden in Ochre!  Isn't she a beaut!

A few weeks later, I saw the A5 Purple Malden and got the "Wanties" again!  After paying out for this one, I thought there's no chance of getting another one so soon.....but lady luck or was it The Magic, that worked again in my favour?  I'd just sent a Personal Classic back to Filofax UK as it was in a bad way, I blogged here about it.  Filofax UK said I could get another Filofax to replace the Classic, so I ordered the Purple Malden and only had £12 to pay because of some discount going on  at the time.  So here it is, in all its glory!

It's not as purple as the photo shows, it's really hard to get a true photo of the colour, but it's actually more of an aubergine colour.

When I received the Purple Malden, some of the pages were stuck in the rings, so I made a complaint to Filofax UK, who very kindly sent me some freebies as compensation.  Among them was this beautiful Purple Filofax Pen that matches the Purple Malden perfectly.

Training:

The Ochre laid flat almost straight out of the box.

Hmmm.....looks like we have some work to do with the Purple one.

My Malden family,

You might be able to see how the colours of the Ochres varies with use.  The personal size has had some use so looks a little more darker and shinier than the A5.

What do I use this Maldens for.....well, I think I will leave that for another blog.

Please join my blog if you enjoy it, I try and do a couple of updates a week.
Thanks for reading and I love comments. xxx

A5 Kendal Review

I was having a think about the amount of Filofaxs I own and it's getting a little out of control, so I've decided to sell a couple, this one has just sold but I would like to share a review on it.

A5 Kendal in Brown Oiled Leather.

This is the original box I brought it in.

Waxy Oiled Leather.
Inside is space to hold 6 credit cards and behind that is a full length pocket, on the back inside cover is space to fit a notebook.  The rings are in perfect condition with no spaces or misalignment.  The Kendal also has 2 elastic pen loops.
The back outside cover has a full length pocket too....ideal to slip your mobile phone in or another note pad.

Just some of the inserts that come with this model.
You've also got 1-6 Dividers and a couple of Note Sheets.

And more inserts.

I think the rings are 30mm and it really does hold a fair bit of stuff.
In the original box.

So Filofax fans, are you interested?  This one is discontinued now so is getting rarer and rarer!  If you come across it, snap it up. lol

Also thinking of selling my:

A5 Brown Metropol

Personal Domino Electric Blue

Personal Domino Lavender

Personal Domino Black

Personal Metropol Raspberry

If any of them interest you, drop me a line.  Sorry everyone, due to very high postage costs here in England, I can only post in the UK.

EDITED 27 July 2013

A second thought....instead of selling.....would anyone be interested in Swapping?
